Kindergarten can be one of the most meaningful years in your child’s life. It marks the beginning of their school experience, and what happens during this year can set the tone for years to come. Our goal is to make this first year—and every year after it—both happy and rewarding for your child. Achieving this requires a strong partnership between school and home.

Children must be five years old on or before August 1, 2026, to be eligible for Kindergarten. Families who feel their child would benefit from waiting an additional year may choose to delay enrollment. Otterbein Elementary will be holding Kindergarten Registration on Tuesday, April 7th by scheduled appointment. To complete registration, families should bring their child’s immunization record, proof of residency, social security card, birth certificate, and the attached is your child ready for kindergarten paper filled out. Families are encouraged to call the school office (765-583-4401) to schedule a registration time. We look forward to welcoming our newest Otterbein students! 

In addition to initial registration with the school, families will complete online registration through Harmony starting late July. When registration opens for all grade levels, we will provide families with a Harmony username and password prior to the online registration window.
